DENFAIR FOR DESIGN Make a Difference Ross Gardam Polar Light

FOR DESIGN is DENFAIR’s social initiative, our opportunity to give back to the industry.

Our goal is to help support, educate and demonstrate how better design choices can have a positive effect on us as individuals, but more importantly as a community.

DENFAIR’s advocacy for responsible design is multifaceted. Among other initiatives, we work to:

  • Empower emerging talent through FRONT | CENTRE
  • Amplify our inspired community of brands year-round through DENFAIR’s print and online channels
  • Celebrate innovation in product design at our annual DENFAIR Awards, and
  • Advance the design conversation through our Speaker Series forum.
  • Actively resist fake and replica furniture, in support of the Authentic Design Alliance
  • Align with the best in the industry through our relationship with the Design Institute of Australia

DENFAIR aims to make a difference within our industry and beyond, to all individuals and communities touched by design.

Front / Centre DENFAIR 2017

Front / Centre

At DENFAIR, there is a strong belief in supporting the design industry. We believe in engaging with early-career designers – with their energy, tenacity and new modes of problem solving – representing a vibrant future for design, one which reflects the cultural and social conditions that they work within. Always backing new and developing talent, DENFAIR created the Front / Centre initiative as a springboard to launch their careers.

The Publication

Our publication encapsulates the spirit of the DENFAIR Event and extends the experience, preserving and further promoting the design talent that has come to define it.

Speaker Series DENFAIR 2017

Speaker Series

Every year DENFAIR hosts a dynamic cohort of design practitioners and commentators in a series of panel lead discussions. Musing on topical design issues, the speakers engage each other and the audience in educational and provocative conversations. The DENFAIR Speaker Series sessions are free and non-ticketed, and both industry and enthusiasts are encouraged to attend.
