DS-1025

de Sede | UBALD KLUG

Established in 1965, de Sede is considered the Rolls Royce of the furniture industry, producing sculptural and sophisticated leather furniture that takes a Modernist leaning.

The de Sede DS-1025 is an iconic piece of which two sophisticated, strong design sofa elements form the perfect basis for implementing your own interior design and furnishing concepts. The single element is like a terraced hill with widths and depths that vary in tapering steps. The elements ‘left’ and ‘right’ constitute a welcoming two-seater sofa, a seating pyramid or a small range of upholstered hills. By adding extra elements, it is possible to create entire seating groups to match your ideas and requirements.

The company works with a stable of renowned European designers and master craftsman who design, make and hand stitch each and every piece to exceedingly strict standards. De Sede continually reinterprets the art of furniture producing collections defined by élégance radicale.

The company uses only hides without blemishes or scars and it is one of the few manufacturers in the world to produce full-grain leather up to a thickness of five millimetres.

Clyde

Ligne Roset | NUMÉRO111

Ligne Roset is distinguished from other manufacturers by its tradition of close collaboration with both established and emerging designers, matching its deeply-held belief in design with investment and technical innovation. The past 40 years have seen collaborations with award winning Didier Gomez, Pascal Mourgue, Peter Maly and the Bouroullec brothers, among others, resulting in complementary furniture collections and decorative accessories, lighting, rugs, textiles and occasional items.

Designed by Numéro111, Clyde is a shelving unit that harmoniously brings together three key materials. Taking as a starting point its essential characteristics – the brass-coated or black lacquered steel structure with its V-shaped supports and the way in which the tops are superposed. Two new pieces were born: a bookcase and a multi-use low unit (low bookcase, low open sideboard, TV Unit). Altogether, the piece speaks of softness and lightness thanks to the finesse of its steel structure.

All Ligne Roset products are developed at the company’s own factories in Briord, France, to ensure quality control from beginning to the end. The Ligne Roset name is stamped on each product as an external symbol of perfection.

Teddy Armchair & Footstool

Sika Design | VIGGO BOESEN

Sika Design is a Danish furniture manufacturer that produces handmade rattan furniture with an emphasis on comfort, quality, design and sustainability.
Designed by Viggo Boesen of the year 1936, the Sika Teddy Armchair and Footstool is part of the ICONS Collection.

Sika Design looked to the past to some of Denmarks most skilled and important architects and designers. Collaboration with the descendants of Viggo Boesen ensured that significant iconic pieces were revitalised of which the Teddy Armchair was one. Viggo Boesen was significant to Danish design history. He performed magic with the sturdy, genius qualities of the beautiful natural material of rattan and wicker. Scandinavia’s oldest producer of rattan and wicker furniture, Sika Design ensured these iconic pieces such as the Teddy Armchair went back into production staying faithful to the original designs.

All Sika furniture is handmade using only the best sustainable materials. Rattan is remarkable hardwearing and at the same time a very lightweight material. About 80% of the world’s rattan comes from Indonesia and it grows naturally without disturbing the existing structure and balance in the rainforest. Rattan is one of the fastest-growing materials, which also filter the air and converts most CO2 to oxygen. It regenerates itself in a cycle on 5-7 years. Rattan is resistant against heat, cold, moist and temperature fluctuations, and is a sustainable material, that fulfils our production philosophy of ethics and common sense.
