VIBIA | Antoni Arola
The Vibia Palma family brings to life a concept that is rarely envisioned in lighting design -the bringing together of life and light in a way that naturalises a space and constitutes a fascinating conversation piece. Living plants coexist with LED bulbs that can be installed as wall fittings and pendants. A wide variety of hanging plants can be installed within a number of different models, allowing for plenty of user customisation. The warm 2700K LED unit with its high Colour Rendering Index creates aglow similar to sunlight.
VIBIA | Lievore Altherr
Tempo by Vibia is a family of three shapes, designed to integrate seamlessly with virtually any interior. Each shape creates a different lighting effect. A round bulb beneath a flat metal disc projects a pool of light downward, a classic oval-shaped globe creates diffused general light, and a diamond-shaped globe provides a mixture of the two. Tempo can be installed to curve around corners, line hallways, and hang from ceilings-the definition of versatility. Tempo takes timeless recurrent shapes and simplifies them into a range of striking decorative fittings.
VIBIA | Arik Levy
North is a Vibia collaboration with artist and industrial designer Arik Levy, which utilises a counterweight in addition to a floating stem and shade to create a pendant-floor lamp hybrid. A systematic, deconstructed take on a classic silhouette, North can be moved around to create light wherever needed for reading and studying, hotel lobbies, lounge settings and more. It also comes in a multi-stem floor lamp model and wall-mounted fitting. North won a Best of Year award from the editors of Interior Design Magazine in New York in 2018 for its outstanding contribution to the lighting market.
OCCHIO | Axel Meise
The Occhio Mito family is vast and ever-growing. It began with halo-shaped LED pendants and flush-mount fittings. It has since morphed into a line of floor lamps and linear pendants, embodying different shapes, with continual technological advancements. However, many features have stayed consistent -Mito’s stunning gesture activation, bluetooth controls, height adjustability and enticing range of finishes. This multi-award-winning concept has seen Occhio rise to the top as one of Europe’s premier lighting manufacturers, and bagged them an Australian Good Design Award in 2018.
Arkoslight | Ruben Saldaña Acle
Arkoslight is a company renowned for its dedication to inconspicuous yet incredibly powerful LED products. Shot Light is just one product defines this, a small spotlight that’s no bigger than the average tube of lipstick, but brightens a room with glare-free yet intense illumination. While deactivated, it’s barely visible. This means that it doesn’t detract from its surroundings, making it the perfect architectural light for gallery spaces and commercial offices. Shot Light took home a Delta Award in 2018, and an iF Product Design Award as well as an Iconic Award in 2017 -and for good reason. Its long LED lifespan, high lighting efficiency and stunning Colour Rendering Index only sweeten the deal.
